Salvador Dali Museum
When I arrived at the Dali museum, I expected to see a bunch of crazy paintings that would do noting but confuse me. Little did I know just how inspirational the works were. When standing in front of the huge masterpieces it truly stimulates the creativity inside. One painting in particular that is simply mind-blowing is Gala Contemplating the Mediterranean Sea which at Twenty Meters becomes a Portrait of Abraham Lincoln. The painting is so intricate as it displays a picture of a woman within a bigger picture of Abe Lincoln. Just imagining how much hard work and time went into creating the piece can give someone a new appreciation and perspective on art that they never had. In terms of inspiring people in the advertising field, I think taking a step back from all of the stress in the workplace to come visit the museum could definitely do wonders. Just recently, the museum added 12 works of Salvador Dali’s from Madrid to their collection. This would be the perfect time for someone who has never been to the Museum to go check it out and see what kinds of creations such an artist could make. I would recommend a visit to the Dali Museum to anyone, but especially those looking for inspiration or who appreciate art.
